My Life Journey
BEFORE: Prior to becoming a professional life coach, I was a therapist with many years of experience in pediatric, family and geriatric rehabilitation and psychiatric support.
I began coaching globally over the phone in 2000 as a Certified Graduate of Coach University and a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation.
Throughout my counseling and coaching career I have had the pleasure of supporting thousands of people in a multitude of life circumstances and challenging transitions.
I’ve been a certified professional life coach for over 20 years, bringing mindfulness, meditation and creativity into my clients’ lives. I’ve been practicing meditation since 1967, and continue to explore multiple Eastern and contemporary paths, teachers, and oracles; including the new sciences of quantum entanglement and string theories. I can go down all the philosophical, quantum and/or conspiracy rabbit holes. Law of Attraction? Aliens? Great! I can support your spiritual path or your career path. Let’s brainstorm. Let’s create a better world!
My personal spiritual teachers have included Ram Dass, Muktananda, Stephen Levine and others. I’m formally trained in a number of meditation/mindfulness practices, and have attended many long silent retreats at the Bhavana Buddhist Monastery and the Lama Foundation. I’ve been a student of author and head abbot monk, Bhante Gunaratana, since 1979.
General Background.
I was born in New York in 1954 and graduated from the State University of New Paltz, New York in 1981. My father was Richard Kiley, a stage and screen actor who won Emmys and Tony awards.
In 1998 I began studies at Coach University; graduating in 2001. I was certified through the International Coach Federation as a Professional Certified Coach.
In 2004 I completed the Advanced Teacher Training program at the Bhavana Buddhist Monastery in High View, WV for advanced meditators.
A New York native, I left NY at the age of 27 to live in France for 10 years while married and raising three children. My children and I moved to Virginia in 1990. I now have four grandchildren (so far) and live in the breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia with my garden, my animals and my amazing nearby community of friends and family.
